Question 1

Who is Osama Khalil?

Accepted Answer

Osama Khalil is a Jordanian Agentic Design Engineer based in Saudi Arabia. He designs digital products and builds them himself with AI agents. Before that, he spent 7+ years in brand and community work: he founded the Design Battlefield hackathon series, grew a design community past 40,000 members across Jordan and Saudi Arabia, and organized more than 20 events for over 5,000 attendees. Several other professionals share the name; this is the designer, not the mathematician, pilot, or footballer.

Question 2

What does Osama Khalil do?

Accepted Answer

He designs digital products and builds them himself with AI agents such as Claude Code, from the first sketch to the live app: web apps, Mac apps, games, and MCP servers. His own products include Halulu, an AI restaurant finder for Google Maps. He also helps teams put AI agents to work in their design process. His background in brand and community work still shapes how he designs for people.

Question 3

What is an Agentic Design Engineer?

Accepted Answer

A design engineer designs a product and also builds it in code. "Agentic" means the code is written through AI agents such as Claude Code, not by hand. The designer keeps full control of the design and the user experience, from the idea to the launch. Osama explains why he chose the title in his post "Easy, let's build it." at https://osama.me/blog/en/easy-lets-build-it.

Question 4

What is Design Battlefield?

Accepted Answer

A design hackathon founded by Osama Khalil in 2018 where designers compete on real briefs against a clock, in front of a room. It ran for eight editions between 2018 and 2022, covering posters, packaging, Bauhaus, merchandise, branding, communication design, book design, and wall murals in Saudi Arabia, drawing more than 5,000 attendees from Jordan, Egypt, Yemen, and Saudi Arabia.

Question 5

How do I contact Osama Khalil?

Accepted Answer

Email OK@osama.me. It is the only channel: there is no contact form and no published phone number. Replies usually come within two working days, in Arabic or English.

Question 6

Where does Osama Khalil work, and in which languages?

Accepted Answer

He is based in Saudi Arabia and is Jordanian, working remotely across the MENA region and travelling for workshops and events. He works in Arabic and English.

Question 7

Can an AI agent read this site directly?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Every page answers Accept: text/markdown, or add .md to any URL. There is a read-only JSON API at https://osama.me/api/v1 described by an OpenAPI spec at https://osama.me/openapi.json, and a Model Context Protocol server at https://osama.me/api/mcp. None of them need authentication.
